Utah canyoneering offers a physically action packed day of hiking, scrambling, rappelling and swimming through ancient canyons carved out by time. These trips offer up an exciting way to see some of Moab's less explored paths while getting you moving in every direction. Canyoneering is offered as half-day or full-day trips with multiple canyons offered for varying experience levels.
HALF DAY CANYONEERING ADVENTURES
Grandstaff canyoneering
offers an exciting day of hiking, scrambling and rappelling through ancient canyons carved out by time. These trips offer up an exciting way to see some of Moab's less explored paths while getting you moving! Grandstaff Canyoneering takes you through scenic views of the Sand Flats area and La Sal Mountains and drops you into the river road corridor via two beautiful 100' rappels alongside the Morning glory Arch. This canyon is great for those new to canyoneering with an easy descending 3.25 mile hike.

New to climbing or looking to expand on your skills? Join one of our guides on an adventure to one of Moab’s scenic crags and get a full introduction to desert climbing, covering everything from climbing techniques, belaying, knots, and more. Climbing trips are well-suited for all levels and include all rock climbing specific gear.

Full Day “Gym to Crag” Guided Instruction (7 - 8 hours)
This course was created for indoor climbers looking to make the transition to the exciting world of outdoor rock climbing. Under the guidance of AMGA SPI certified local guides, you will learn the skills necessary to approach outdoor climbing from the ground up (or the cliff down!). Topics covered include site assessment, anchor building & cleaning, lowering & rappelling, proper equipment, lead climbing & belaying, crag etiquette and more.. Trips are well-suited for all climbing levels and can be tailored to your needs and learning goals.
